First of all, how are you and how are you dealing with the foreclosure?

I arrive there! It was such a shock at the start to go from 8 shows a week into such an energetic show and come to a complete stop. However, I really enjoyed the break and used the time to focus on some exciting new projects!

Tell us about your trip to the West End!

I have been singing since I was 6! I used to always participate in local talent shows and participate in school productions. It wasn't until I started attending Guildford School of Acting Saturday School and going to the theater with my mom that I started to get serious on stage. I then had the chance to go from Saturday school to the 3-year course at GSA! I landed the role of Swing / Dance Captain in SiX the Musical in my third year and debuted in the show the day before I graduated! It was such a swirling week.

What shows would our audience have seen you on?

I started my career on a very popular show, SiX the musical where I covered all of Queens! SiX officially opened in the West End in January 2019 after a 6 month tour of the UK. I left the series in August 2019 to embark on my new adventure with & Juliet, a replay of the classic love story using the music of pop-writing legend Max Martin. In the show I cover the title role and it's one of the funniest jobs ever!

During the pandemic and with the West End closed, I was fortunate enough to appear in an outdoor concert version of "Hair" on a Pier, directed by Arlene Phillips! We hope that the show will have 2 shows at the London Palladium in January!

What games would you like to play the most in the future?

My current dream roles are Eliza in Hamilton, Eurydice in Hadestown and Glinda in Wicked.

How can people support the arts during Lockdown 2?

You can support the arts by purchasing tickets for projects performed by artists during the lockout, such as concerts, workshops, or Q&A. There are also some amazing charities like Acting for Others or the Theater Support Fund that are doing an amazing job supporting creatives and theaters in this time as the curtains are drawn.

What advice do you have for someone looking to travel to the West End?

Never get locked in and have a “go ahead” attitude to try new things. This industry is crazy so you never know where your path might take you! Be a nice human too! Being a good member of the company is just as important as your talent in finding a job.

What do you think is your greatest achievement to date?

With the nature of & Juliet, we constantly meet celebrities! However, one night I'll never forget is when I played Juliet in front of Katy Perry. I sang “Roar” with her in the audience and got to meet her afterwards. She was so adorable and couldn't believe I had only played the part a few times before!

Can you tell us more about your Cut To The Grace podcast?

This project is something I wanted to do for so long! I wanted to do this to learn more about the amazing artists and creatives that I know and admire. Not only on careers, but also on them as humans! We can feel defined by our professions as actors. I wanted to break this stigma and show my audience that we are human beings with interesting stories and lives! It's also a super laid back and conversational podcast so my audience can feel like they're joining the conversation over a cup of tea with their favorite theater stars that I'm lucky enough to have with me in the show.

What is your favorite musical and why?

It is so difficult! I love the history and music of Hadestown. However, Kinky Boots is a show that makes me feel amazing every time I listen to it and has such an important message. My best friend played one of the angels on the show, so my mom and I saw her A LOT and loved every second!

What do you always take with you?

I'm not myself without my phone, petroleum jelly, a headband around my wrist, and a bottle of water!

What does your perfect weekend look like?

My perfect weekend would start with a huge brunch cooked with lots of coffee before a trip to London looking at the vintage shops. This would of course end with a show in the West End before a few cocktails! Sunday would be a time of relaxation - Netflix, puppy hugs, dressing gowns, cups of tea, snacks, maybe even a cheeky trip to the spa!

If you could only have one meal, what would it be?

This is the hardest question for me because I LOVE food! BUT I think it would be a vegan chicken piccata that my boyfriend and I make (it's amazing). It consists of chicken quorn, capers, lemon juice, white wine and ALL garlic. With pesto potatoes, broccoli and a little garlic bread on the side. DREAMS. If I am allowed a pudding at the end, Ice cream!

If you could give a positive message to our subscribers what would it be?

Comparison is the killer of creativity. So stay in your lane and remind yourself that you are more than sufficient just as you are.

The veggies pack in essential vitamins, minerals and other phytonutrients important for health and longevity. And, because they’re rich in fiber, they help to aid absorption ( aka keep you regular ! ) and keep you feeling full longer.

Using a sport tracker ( like the Fitbit, Apple Watch or similar ) to track your steps is an easy way to make sure you’re getting enough physical activity each day. We aim for 10, 000 steps daily, which has significant physical and esprit health benefits. The Fitbit will also remind you to get 250 steps each hour ( another important measure of health

Similar to cleaning products, conventional skincare and personal care products are formulated with toxic ingredients we should not regularly let absorb into our body’s largest organ. Aim to eat real food that’s made of whole food ingredients you would have in your own kitchen pantry, or that your grandmother would recognize. ( Yup, this rules out most packaged food, sorry ! ) This is a little different than suggesting you eat only “health foods” ( many of which are increasingly processed ! ). “Real food” includes unprocessed foods like an apple, a cucumber, soybeans or a steak, as well as foods loosely processed from one ( or few ) real-food ingredients, like butter, olive oil, yogurt, tofu, etc. In other words, aim for foods that could be reasonably made in your own kitchen and avoid foods that can only be made in a lab.

Reduce the harmful effects of sitting ( like at your desk travail ) by standing up and moving around for a minute or two every half hour.

Vitamin D is one of the most important nutrients for overall health, and sunlight is one of our best sources of it. Aim to get at least 30 minutes of sunlight each day—preferably in the afternoon, and without sunscreen ( read more about that here ). Not much sunlight in the winter where you live ? It might be worth supplementing with a vitamin D supplement and/or other food sources of this essential nutrient.

Houseplants help to cleanse your indoor air ( sadly, it probably needs it ! ), they’re pretty, and research even shows they improve mood, creativity and problem solving !
