Are you tired of spending your days feeling like the only thing you're doing is cleaning up and chatting with your little one about the reasons they can't eat your stash of candy?

Before doing what I do now (blogging) I was a mom who changed 20 diapers a day, feeding twins 24 hours a day and oh, I didn't snap a blink of an eye because every twin is woke up at night at completely different times (I have no idea how one twin can sleep crying when the other woke up!).

I knew that after a while I had to do more than sing Baa Baa black sheep and only talk about twins to my husband.

And this blogging job came into my life and I haven't looked back!

And now more and more moms are looking for ways to create an income from home with easy and simple side jobs.

But how are all these other moms doing?

Staying home with your little ones and being able to contribute financially to your household's bottom line doesn't just have to be a dream.

Even if you think you don't have the time or the talent to make money from home with a side push while taking care of your little ones, I'm here to tell you, YOU DO!

I have been working from home for over 6 years now and started when my twins were still wearing diapers. And if this sleep-deprived mom of twins can do it, so can you!

So I'm gonna go!

Here are 15 side jobs for moms you can do at home, even while napping!

Once you really start to dig into it, there are tons of side jobs you can do from home.

From blogging (my favorite) to creating fun, easy-to-sell crafts. Whether you're a mom of toddlers or teenagers (or both), there are plenty of side jobs you can take on.

1. Blogging

Of course I had to do blog # 1! I love blogging so much that I created and bought several blogs since I officially started my journey years ago. Blogging is great for many reasons.

You can start a personal blog and write about things you are passionate about or share your funny mom stories.

Or you can blog for business. I know a lot of moms who earn a living to blog full time or part time, myself included.

While it may take a while to gain traction and start making money, it is possible to turn a simple side-job blog into a money-making machine that can replace or exceed your current income.

Whatever you choose to write, just make sure you're passionate about it. You don't want to be stuck with another chore that you can't bear to do.

I can tell you that mom blogs are very popular and there are many ways to make money with them.

2. Virtual assistant

As more and more people start working from home, the need to virtual assistants.

A VA helps business owners with a wide variety of tasks. The big difference between a VA and a freelance writer is that for the most part, freelancers focus on one type of task, like writing.

A VA, on the other hand, works with one or more clients on a wider variety of tasks. An assistant can schedule Pins, respond to customer emails, and collect data on the same day. Volunteer advisors can also work for many types of solopreneurs and small businesses.

These can include bloggers, ecommerce stores, coaches, consultants, or even authors.

3. Photography (Stock Photos)

If you like to take photos, even if it's with your phone, you can sell your photos. You can sell them online as digital fine art prints or on stock photography sites.

The really great thing about selling digital photos or art prints online is that it's a pretty easy way to create a passive income stream.

4. Teach English online

If you haven't seen this side job for moms yet, this is a really great opportunity.

There are several popular sites you can join to teach Chinese children how to speak and write English.

Professors with VIPKid (one of the most famous platforms) can earn between $ 14 and $ 22 / hour from the comfort of their home while choosing their own schedules. Each lesson is taught in 25 minute increments, individually with the child.

This is a great position if you are a night owl or an early bird as you have to account for the time zone difference. General hours are early in the morning during the week or all night on weekends.

5. YouTube channel

If you like being in front of the camera, there are many different topics that you can build a YouTube channel around.

Moms created channels like vlogging, baking, cooking, organizing tips, meal planning and preparation, fitness, crafts, and more.

While, just like blogging, it can take a while to build an audience and start making money, YouTube can pay really well. Blogs and YouTube channels complement each other well!

I started a Youtube channel for my freelance writing business and in two years I was able to monetize this channel (I reached the threshold of viewing time and subscribers to monetize).

6. Make and sell crafts

If you're the type of mom who could spend all day doing crafts, you could definitely start side work based on that.

Of mason jar crafts, baby blankets, jewelry, there is a lot you can make and sell online.

7. Create digital products

Creating and selling digital products is a great way to start a side job at home.

Another way to generate passive income is digital products. Digital products can be anything from ebooks to printable coloring pages.

You can easily list digital products on many different platforms. Etsy, for example, is popular for many types of printables.

If you want to do more eBooks and lessons, Teachable is a great course platform. They even have a coaching platform too!

8. Independent services

Freelancing is a great way for moms to start side job.

I tend to focus a lot on freelance writing as this is my area of ​​expertise, but there are many types of freelance services you can do. Here are some ideas to get started:

  • Writing
  • Social media management
  • Graphic design
  • Voice off
  • Branding consulting
  • Public relations
  • Photography
  • Illustrator
  • Artist
  • Administrative assistance
  • Translation
  • Transcription
  • Proofreading

If you love numbers, accounting can be a great side job!

You don't need a sophisticated financial degree to become an accountant, just a desire to help other business owners keep their finances in order.

There are many free and paid resources online to help you succeed as an accountant.

10. Editing / Proofreading

Are you a grammar guru?

Could you spend hours reading? If so, you will be very good at editing and proofreading the work of others.

You don't need a degree for this or for superhero skills, just a keen eye for clerical errors and the ability to suggest improvements.

11. Print on demand

Similar to digital products, setting up a print-on-demand store is very easy!

Here are some items (other than t-shirts) that you can put in your print-on-demand store:

You don't even have to be a stellar designer to create awesome products!

You can find a ton of commercial SVG files for just about anything you could imagine online. Simply upload your image to your products, put it up for sale in your store, promote and wait for the sales!

Again, Etsy is a great place to start that easy side job.

12. Coaching

Coaching can be a very lucrative side job! Individual or group coaching achieving their goals is a passionate endeavor for many.

Whether you're helping moms shed those extra pounds or helping couples rekindle their marriage spark, you can coach people online in just about any area!

Before creating courses, I was coaching new freelance writers! This is actually the reason I created a course in the first place!

I have had a lot of coaching clients and realized that it takes a long time to mention the same things over and over again.

So this gave me the idea to write my outline for them as it was very similar in all areas and it helped me create my freelance writing course!

13. Recycle and sell items

It's a little different from making crafts for sale. There are a lot of highly regarded items in the world that can be remade to create a brand new item!

Recycled furniture is very important. Whether it's covering up old chairs or giving new life to old coffee tables, recycled items can do a really good side job.

14. Natural beauty products

Think about the products you use on a daily basis.

From deodorant and lip balm to exfoliating scrubs, there are plenty of natural beauty products you can make and sell online. They don't even have to be too complicated or use very expensive ingredients.

Like that simple coffee scrub that sells for $ 18 for 4 ounces.

15. Food products

Do you like to cook?

Maybe you could use your baking skills and make it a side job. Create personalized cookies for corporate events or fun fondant cakes for the holidays. People love to receive baked goods as gifts and they are always something nice to give.

You can sell your designs in local markets or online (always with Etsy!). Like these chocolate and oatmeal cookies that sell for $ 17 a dozen! Now that's a good deal 😉

Switching to healthier alternatives is a simple way to reduce your exposure to environmental toxins in your home. Similar to cleaning products, conventional skincare and personal care products are formulated with toxic ingredients we should not regularly let absorb into our body’s largest organ.
