# 1 - Gamcheon Cultural Village

ADDRESS: 200 Gamnae 1 (il) -ro, Gamcheon 2 (i) -dong, Saha-gu, Busan | TYPE OF LOCATION: Town

Admire the candy-colored houses of this charming village often referred to as the "Macchu Picchu of South Korea" given the way the buildings are stepped into the foothills of a coastal mountain.

Take a walk along narrow paths and you'll love how it's filled with vibrant murals and sculptures created by local residents, and you can basically spend your day inside these bustling homes that are converted into galleries art, cafes and shops.

POINT: Go up to the Sky Garden for the best view of the village!

# 2 - Haeundae Beach

ADDRESS: 264, Haeundaehaebyeon-ro, Haeundae-gu | TYPE OF LOCATION: Beach

Take photos on your own when you're at scenic Haeundae Beach, widely regarded as one of Busan's top Instagram spots.

So arm yourself in your best beach clothes and enjoy the hot sun while feeling the sea breeze. Also, given its 1.5 km stretch, there are a number of places that will make great photos.

POINT: Snap photos at the magic hour or avoid the crowds by heading here before sunrise. (Explore nearby Dongbaek Island, Busan Aquarium, Pleasure Wharf [for the night photo above] and more. Another beautiful beach to discover is Gwangalli Beach).

# 3 - Haedong Yonggungsa Temple

ADDRESS: 86 Yonggung-gil, Gijang-eup, Gijang | TYPE OF LOCATION: Temple

Near Haeundae Beach is this famous temple perched on the coast (most Korean temples are in the mountains).

Here you can marvel at the intricately painted details and majestic carvings of the temple. as well as its staircase decorated with stone lanterns.

POINT: Discover the temple at night as it is illuminated by luminous lanterns. Choose to visit also in April when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

# 4 - Taejongdae Resort Park

ADDRESS: 24 Jeonmang-ro, Dongsam-dong, Yeongdo-gu | TYPE OF LOCATION: Park

Head to this natural park which features stunning rock formations and beautiful coastal views!

Designated as a monument of Busan (along with Oryukdo Island), Taejongdae would represent Busan. If you head under the lighthouse, there is a rock called Sinseon and it takes its name from the myth that gods and goddesses came down to this park to relax.

POINT: Don't forget to strike a pose against the cotton candy-like hydrangeas!

# 5 - Oedo Island

ADDRESS: OedoIrun-myeon, Geoje-si | TYPE OF LOCATION: Isle

Stumble upon this western-style botanical wonderland, which is only a ferry ride from Busan.

Admire the wonderful topiaries and tropical gardens of the island which are home to more than 3,000 plant species. This garden island is also known as the filming location for the hit K-drama finale, Winter Sonata.

# 6 - Temple of Beomeosa

ADDRESS: 250 Beomeosa-ro Geumjeong-gu | TYPE OF LOCATION: Temple

Admire the impressive ancient temple dating from 678, one of Busan's top Instagram spots, east of Geumjeongsan Mountain.

Marvel at the temple's exceptional architectural details, including the three-story Iljumun Gate and Daeungjeon Hall (often referred to as one of the most luxurious architectures of the Joseon Dynasty).

POINT: Don't miss a photo under the colorful array of lanterns and the surrounding wisteria woods (often at their best in May).

#seven - Rooftop cafe

ADDRESS: 139-4 Cheongsapo-ro, Jung-dong, Haeundae | TYPE OF LOCATION: Coffee

Admire the airy interiors and brightly colored walls of Cafe Rooftop, located in Cheongsapo Town.

You will love its stunning sea view as well as the many thoughtful touches that will help create that perfect Instagram photo.

POINT: Relax and watch the romantic sunset on the beach from the rooftop, away from the crowds.

# 8 - Yeongdodaegyo Bridge

ADDRESS: 46, Taejong-ro, Yeongdo-gu | TYPE OF LOCATION: Bridge

Meet on this popular drawbridge that connects the districts of Jung-gu and Yeongdo-gu!

POINT: Admire the bridge as it rises to make way for ships - after all, this will also reveal the causeway design - a few birds apparently in flight.

Head up (or call a taxi to) Hwangnyeongsan Mountain for a stunning view of Busan City!

Take photos of vast fields of flowers, the lush, verdant landscape, and even the famous Diamond Bridge at night.

POINT: Climb up at sunset to enjoy not only the end of the day, but the night view as well.

#ten - Oryukdo Island

ADDRESS: 137, Oryukdo-ro, Nam-gu | TYPE OF LOCATION: Isle

This is a group of rocky islands off the south coast of Busan, and depending on the tide it can appear to be five or six islands (hence the name "o" meaning five and "yuk" meaning six in Korean).

A good place here is by the rocky coast (as pictured above).

POINT: Before heading to the Oryukdo Islands, come feel the cool breeze as you make your way to Oryukdo Skywalk, one of the many sought-after Instagram spots in Busan. Snap photos of the winding wooden walkway as well as the picturesque scenery, and you'll be amazed that the horseshoe-shaped bridge perched on top of the cliff is all glass!

PREMIUM - Nakdonggang Bird Sanctuary

ADDRESS: 1240, Nakdongnam-ro, Saha-gu, Busan | TYPE OF LOCATION: Sanctuary

Eulsukdo Island is a popular spot for bird watching as it is home to over 100,000 species (rare included).

POINT: If you come from mid-September to November, you can witness this picturesque muhly rose grass in the park or sanctuary! It certainly makes great photos for your feed! (This same plant is also found in the Samnak Ecological Park)
