It's safe to say that 2020 has been a tough year for all of us. With the pandemic still a source of uncertainty around the world, consumers need comfort more than ever. Many of the beauty practices that took place in the salon take place in the comforts of home, and as the winter months approach, consumers will be flocking to their favorite brands for help with skin and hair care. dry hair.

These formulations focus on the three areas that need winter protection: hair, body and face. We have used highly nutritious oils rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids and tocopherols. With all three of these products, you'll find that a little goes a long way, making them essential beauty products that could last all winter.

Winter hair serum

Natural hair care serums with hairbrush

Our organic Kalahari melon is the star ingredient in this liquid serum, supported by organic high oleic safflower oil and organic natural jojoba oil. Kalahari melon seed oil appears in many trendy beauty products on the market and for good reason: this remarkable oil has an impressive 70% linoleic acid (omega-6 essential fatty acid) content and is an excellent source of natural tocopherols.

As a finishing touch, we've used a calming blend of patchouli and lavender essential oils in this serum, but you can also replace it with any of our Essential oils, CO2 extracts, Herbal scent oils or Scented oils.

Winter hair serum formulation


  1. Combine phase A in your container.
    We used our 2 oz. Cosmo round PET bottles with disc caps.
  2. Shake well to combine the ingredients.


Three ways this serum can be used:

  1. Add a few drops of the oil to your palms and massage into dry hair starting with the tips that work up to the scalp.
  2. Apply a few drops to wet hair as a conditioner after showering.
  3. Gently heat the oil bottle in a lukewarm water bath for 5 minutes to create a hot oil treatment. Leave on for 20 minutes then wash and style as usual.

Winter body balm

Natural body balm and natural ingredients

This whole body balm deeply moisturizes dry, winter-tired skin. Our premium calabash oil and organic calendula extract blend with solid butters and natural beeswax to create a luxurious balm that glides easily on the skin. Not only does our calabash oil contain 78% skin-loving essential fatty acids, it's ethically sourced and sustainable, giving any product that contains this unique ingredient a positive story.

We've blended our CO2 Select Frankincense Extract with organic bergamot essential oil to create a warm, bright, and slightly lemony scent that perfectly complements this balm. We used deodorized cocoa butter for this formulation, but the irresistible chocolate scent of our Organic cocoa butter Also goes amazingly well with this blend of essential oils.

  1. Combine phase A in a water bath and heat gently until completely melted.
  2. Then add phase B and melt.
  3. Remove from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  4. Add phase C to molten phases A and B and mix well.
  5. Once completely mixed, pour into your containers. We used our 1 oz Brown Cardboard Push-Up Tubes with Caps


Slide over the skin and massage until absorbed. Apply liberally to dry, rough areas such as wind-chapped elbows, knees and cheeks for extra protection.

Our Deodorant containers would also be a great option for this formulation.

Perhaps the last of our Winter Moisture Trio is our favorite. We have focused on using ingredients that will keep the skin glowing and smooth throughout the winter. Most importantly, these lightweight oils will not clog your pores and leave the skin oily.

The key ingredient in this serum is the total CO2 extract from tomato seeds. Rich in lycopene, vitamin E and essential fatty acids, this oil is an exceptional choice for delicate facial skin that needs extra protection.

We've blended myrrh, frankincense and clary sage oils to imbue this serum with a warm, seasonal aroma - however, you can leave them out and let the sweet, fruity aroma of the seed oil shine through. tomato.

We all dream of flawless, glowing skin, but with new products constantly hitting the shelves and the seemingly endless skincare advice out there on the Internet, it’s not always easy to figure out the skincare routine that’s going to work best for you. You know the basics — drink plenty of water, get enough sleep, and wash your face, but what about everything in between ? Luckily, there’s no need to shell out tons of cash on any magical procedures or expensive creams to achieve flawless skin.

We spoke with dermatologists and top beauty experts to put together a list of some of the best skincare tips. From choosing the right cleanser for your skin type to the importance of cleaning your makeup brushes, these easy tricks — plus some top-tested product picks from the Good Housekeeping Institute Beauty Lab — will help guide you to glowing skin ASAP.

' For oily or acne-prone skin, a salicylic givre or benzoyl peroxide wash works great, ' says Dr. Ava Shamban, a dermatologist in Santa Monica. ' For dry femme mûre skin, use either a moisturizing glycolic or milky cleanser. For skin with brown ateliers or melasma, use a brightening wash, such as an alfa hydroxy acid cleanser. '

' The best times to moisturize are right after you get out of the shower and right before you go to bed, ' explained Dr. Janet Prystowsky M. D., an NYC-based dermatologist. Avoid lotions with heavy fragrances and make sure you find a moisturizer gentle enough for every day use with zero irritation.

Dr. Tzu says figuring out how to avoid touching your face is very important. It doesn’t just spread bacteria and cause breakouts — it can lead to scarring, an increase in wrinkles, and even the flu or other viruses.

Every skin spécialiste we spoke to emphasized the importance of hydration. ' A lack of water means less radiance and more sag, ' says Dr. Mona Gohara, a dermatologist in Connecticut. She suggests choosing products ( cleansing, moisturizing, and anti-aging ) that have hydrating formulas. And, bien sûr, drink around eight glasses of water a day.

Though it’s tempting to grab a coffee the minute you wake up, Joanna Vargas, a skincare facialist in NYC, says choosing the right beverages can be a game changer. ' Drink a shot of chlorophyll every morning to brighten, oxygenate, and hydrate your skin. Drinking chlorophyll also helps drain puffiness by stimulating the lymphatic system, so it’s also good for cellulite. '

If you’re not keen on downing a shot of the stuff, chlorophyll supplements can be found at many drugstores and health food stores. She also advised drinking green juices with lots of veggies in them : ' It will transform your skin in a matter of days — and it helps oxygenate the skin and stimulates lymphatic drainage, so it’s de-puffing, too. '

' Your skin has a natural barrier to retain moisture, and essential to that is omega-3 fatty acid, ' Joanna advises. ' Flax seeds on your salad or even walnuts will be an instant boost to your omega-3, thus increasing your skin’s ability to hold onto moisture. ' And be sure to eat a diet low in foods with a high glycemic index ( simple and complex carbohydrates ).

Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or greater — and remember that it needs to be reapplied every 2 hours.

We’re talking SPF makeup, sunglasses, and broad-brimmed hats. ' Preventing sun damage is a million times better for your skin than treating it after the fact, ' says Dr. Prystowsky.

' Fad products and fancy ingredients are fun to try, and sometimes they work well, ' says Dr. Prystowsky, ' but usually they’re off the shelves just as quickly as they’re on them. ' Find a cleanser and moisturizer that you know work for you, and keep them at the core of your routine.

It’s not just about getting eight hours a night. Skin will also benefit from regularly using clean silk pillowcases. ' The material glides easily and prevents creasing and wrinkles, ' says Jesleen Ahluwalia, M. D., a dermatologist from Spring Street Dermatology in New York City. ' Silk is also easier on hair — it helps avoid tangles and breakage. ' Better hair and skin while you sleep ? Yes, please.
