1. Art of animation

The art of animation is by far the most economical resort for families with young children. The convenience of the location is a comparison enough to disqualify All-Star hotels. They are further away and have fewer transportation options. The Art of Animation complex connects to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studio via the Skyliner. Art of Animation is the best themed resort and has the most family suites. If that doesn't qualify it to be one of the best Disney resorts for families with young children, how about the famous Big Blue Pool and the best Landscapes of Flavor food court?

2. Caribbean beach

This moderate resort is also on the Skyliner Road which transports guests from select stations to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Of all the moderates, Caribbean Beach has the best location and the best theme for kids. There's plenty of pirate-inspired fun, including a pool designed like a Spanish fortress armed with water cannons. You can even book a pirate-themed room that's perfect for young children. There is also a new restaurant at Caribbean Beach, so your family now has a good table service option, instead of just counter service. It was part of a very recent hotel renovation.

3. Fort Wilderness

It is remote without being far because, although it is only a boat ride from the Magic Kingdom, it is otherwise surrounded by wilderness. Fort Wilderness also offers one of the most affordable buffets and the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, one of America's oldest dinner shows. Fort Wilderness also has a cheaper option at Fort Wilderness campsites, where you can plug in your RV or pitch a tent.

The Contemporain offers the most spacious rooms, ideal for allowing the family to flourish a little. In addition, the monorail connects to the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, as well as the transport and ticketing center with a connecting line to Epcot.
