Hi friends!

These Easy Egg Wraps may be the world's simplest snack idea. They are also great for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. We've been making them for several years now and they are still one of my favorites, along with my kids!

Here's why I love them:

  • They are very hot or cold.
  • They can be prepared in advance.
  • You can fill them with whatever you want.
  • They are super easy!

I actually prefer to eat them cold, so I often make a jackpot of around 10 at a time and just have a couple of them for a snack every day during the week. They are similar to hard-boiled eggs in that they are low in carbs, gluten free, high in protein, etc. but i don't like hard-boiled egg yolks so this is an easier way for me to make sure I'm getting the nutrients from the whole egg!

My oldest, who doesn't like hard-boiled eggs, will eat them for breakfast if I reheat them, so this is another quick option to have on hand.

Could you make egg white wraps with this technique? Of course! You would probably need 2 or 3 of them to make an envelope.

These Easy Egg Wraps are perfect for a low carb, high protein snack. Prepare several ahead and fill them with turkey, avocado, cheese, hummus, and more.

  • Preparation time: 2 minutes
  • Cooking time: 2 minutes
  • Total time: 4 minutes

Ingredients

  • Eggs
  • Optional garnishes: turkey, avocado, cheese, hummus, fruit, yogurt, etc.
  • Optional seasonings: salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, basil, oregano, etc.

Instructions

  1. Heat a small skillet over medium heat. Grease with butter or oil.
  2. In a bowl, crack an egg and mix well with a fork.
  3. Pour into a hot pot and tilt the pot to lay the egg in a large circle on the bottom of the pot.
  4. Cook for 30 seconds. (Sprinkle with seasonings if desired)
  5. Gently flip with a large spatula and cook for another 30 seconds.
  6. Remove from the pan and repeat with as many eggs as you want.
  7. Let the eggshells cool slightly (or completely), garnish with your choice of toppings, roll up and serve warm or cold.
