REVIEW: FLY IN BUSINESS CLASS WITH SRI LANKAN AIRLINES

As a woman who has professionally grown in the air as a Flight attendant and one Flight Attendant Career Coach today, i always look forward to writing an aerial review. The plane is like a second home to me, counting thousands of hours in the sky; that's why I understand, know and really appreciate flight services.

After being chosen as one of the world's most influential travel bloggers, I recently participated in TBC Asia, Asia's largest travel blogger conference, organized by Cinnamon Hotels. Sri Lankan Airlines took care of my trip. I was really looking forward to this experience, as this time I was not on duty to Asia on a private jet, but instead I got to find my very first journal in this part of the world as a passenger. So there was something quite new to explore!

My flight from Doha to Colombo was an overnight flight, lasting 5 hours, following the first sector from Athens to Doha. So I chose to fly Business class - and I always do in such cases - because I can't resist a gourmet dinner in the air as well as a bed seat at 40,000 feet! The AIRBUS A320 / 321 is one of my favorite planes; maybe because I didn't fly on it as a flight attendant and surely consider it to be the masterpiece of commercial airlines!

Sri Lanka is an incredibly hospitable country. Locals love their homeland and want to convey that feeling to any visitor through their excellent customer services. To be honest, this became clear to me from the first Welcome Aboard upon boarding in Doha. I have 13 years of practical experience in aviation and I can reassure you; the smile of the flight attendants was absolutely real.

Sri Lankan Airlines people know how to successfully deliver a straight smile to all passengers. It can be spotted in seconds, trust me!

THE FIRST WELCOME

The truth is, you never get a second chance to have a first impression and Sri Lankan Airlines has really had a big hit on that! The flight attendants not only greeted me warmly, but they were also groomed, with beautiful hair and excellent uniforms - like a work of art - wearing beautiful traditional Sri Lankan sarees.

A hot and fragrant towel and apple juice followed this beautiful series of events to welcome me as a Royal on my flight to Sri Lankan Paradise. I didn't go for the champagne as I knew a delicious menu would follow with a glass of wine / or maybe two?

THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE BUSINESS CLASS

I chose the single seat next to the window for an obvious reason. Maximum privacy is the key and my choice was overall correct. Overnight, the seat transformed into a comfy bed with a soft pillow and a height-appropriate blanket - not a four-foot-tall infant blanket (which is the usual airline option).

Right next to my bed I had my personal "bedside table" which is extremely convenient especially for me as I usually curry so much in my purse (creams, headphones, sleep masks, socks, chargers. , tablet, etc.)

Sri Lankan Airlines also offers a useful comfort kit, with a sleep mask, socks and mini products. You got me; I honored them all!

THE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM

I always travel with my own tablet with me, as a Netflix fan. However, I like to check out what's on board. So I spent some time exploring the in-flight entertainment system so I can have an opinion here. There was a wide variety of films and series, both new and classic productions, lots of music choices as well as some interesting documentaries. You can also use their USB sockets to charge your device, which is a huge necessity, especially during long trips.

But I should not forget the most important: the WiFi on board!

You have the option of connecting to WiFi, where course fees apply. Not very cheap I must say, but already knowing that these connections are only possible by satellite, that explains a lot. I chose the smallest package in order to upload stories to my INSTAGRAM Account with photos of my delicious menu - keep reading, it happens - and then log out to enjoy my flight!

DINNER ON BOARD

The menu was fantastic and full of traditional Sri Lankan and Asian dishes. I chose Vegetarian, a Thai style vegetable curry that went perfectly with my glass of wine. It was a great intro to all the upcoming curries I have tasted throughout the week in Sri Lanka.

The only thing I've fallen in love with is the traditional dessert Bibikkan. It was like a cake made from coconut and flour and you really have to taste it if you ever travel to Sri Lanka!

The customer service was really high level, the crew were there for all my little requests - although I don't usually keep the flight attendants busy as I am too and I know these midnight duties deeply.

Finally, despite the fact that it was an overnight flight and all the passengers were actually sleeping, I experienced a very premium service. I recognize this as a benefit of Sri Lankan Airlines; having people on your team who really love what they do is the most valuable thing for a business! Good game!

SEE YOU NEXT SRI LANKAN AIRLINES!

Το TBC Asia was organized by Cinnamon Hotels in collaboration with Sri Lankan Airlines. All opinions are my own, as always. Because, if it's not good for Maryhop, it doesn't make the ENJOY fitting!

The best time to visit Italy are the months of May, June, and September. Compared to the peak summer months of July and August, these months offer more comfortable temperatures and there are fewer crowds ( except around Easter ). The country experiences four classic seasons per year, although there is a marked difference between the wetter, cooler North and the drier, warmer South. The rainiest months pretty much everywhere are usually October and November.

Fall ( September – November ) : temperatures cool down gradually, although September is usually still very pleasant. Expect crisp fall leaves and some sunnier days, but plan for wet weather too. Fall carries many of the same benefits as spring, but with slightly less predictable weather.

Winter : temperatures in the South remain mild in winter, while Northern Italy is normally wet and cold. Winter in the Italian Alps is fantastic though for skiing and snowboarding, but the ski resorts do get crowded so book early.

Travelers wishing to visit Italy can use a bus, train, plane, or boat to get there. Most tourists arrive by plane though, often landing in Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, the country’s busiest airport. This is the preferred point of entry in Italy when you want to visit Rome, or tour the entire country. Click here for a continuously updated list of airlines that offer direct flights to Rome.

Although Rome is the main getaway for most visitors to Italy, it’s often easier and cheaper to fly directly to/from one of the country’s other airports. It can also save you a lot of time to book a multi-city ticket, hereby arriving in one airport and leaving from another ( for example fly in Milan in the north and fly out Naples in the south ). The following airports are of interest for most tourist itineraries :

Milan Malpenza Airport ( north ) is the largest international airport in the Milan metropolitan area in northern Italy ( and also the main getaway to the Italian Lakes ). Click here for a continuously updated list of airlines that offer direct flights to Milan.

Venice Marco Polo airport ( north ) is the international airport of Venice. It offers flights to many European metropolitan areas as well as some partly seasonal long-haul routes to the United States, Canada, South Korea and the Middle East.
