Bifidobacterium bifidum (B. bifidum) is one of the most common strains of probiotic bacteria found in the human body, living mainly in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract. As one of the lactic acid bacteria, B. bifidum is found in a range of fermented foods, including some yogurts and cheeses. Health benefits include prevention and treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), chest infections, constipation, and some types of diarrhea. Some studies have also shown that B. bifidum was beneficial for the immune system.

Bifidobacterium lactis (B. lactis) is a potent strain of probiotic bacteria that occurs naturally in the gut. The health benefits include its ability to improve digestion, boost immune function, and even fight tumor growth. As a type of bifidobacteria, B. lactis is also commonly used for the treatment and prevention of diarrhea, constipation, and IBS. Because Pro-25 uses a mixture of probiotics, it is difficult to identify the exact dose of bifidobacteria cultures. Research suggests 30 billion cultures of bifidobacteria consumed daily for 4-6 weeks has shown positive results.

Lactobacillus acidophilus (L. acidophilus) is a type of bacteria that plays an important role in human health, through the production of an enzyme called lactase. Lactase breaks down lactose into lactic acid, which helps prevent the growth of bad bacteria. L. acidophilus also has many potential health benefits, including lowering high cholesterol levels, improving symptoms of IBS, and strengthening the immune system to reduce the risk of viral infections, such as the common cold and influenza.

So, is Vitamin Bounty Pro-25 probiotic supplement worth buying?

Each serving has half the CFUs per serving (25 billion vs. 50 billion), but you still get the same 13 probiotic strains. NatureWise is one of the only supplement companies we've seen to use more, with 30 strains in their Daily Care and Maximum Care probiotics, but only 10 or 30 billion CFU per serving, respectively.

Studies have indicated that probiotic supplements that use multiple strains generally have greater efficiency than single strains. It also turns out to be much cheaper and more convenient than trying to find and combine individual strains. Not all of them are available as stand-alone supplements.

The only potential drawback is the lack of B. coagulans. A specific strain of B. coagulans (GBI-30, 6086) showed reduce exercise-induced muscle fatigue and facilitates the digestion of carbohydrates and proteins. It's rarely found in multi-strain probiotics, but you can still combine Vitamin Bounty Pro-25 with Schiff Digestive Advantage (only contains GBI-30, 6086), for a full spectrum of health benefits.

Overall, it's easy to see why Vitamin Bounty Pro-25 is one of the most popular probiotic supplements on the market. The Pro-50 version is slightly more expensive than the Pro-25, so it might be worth evaluating your tolerance and the health benefits you experience with the Pro-25 before considering increasing your intake to 50 billion CFU per day.

Strength or resistance training challenges your groupes musculaires with a stronger-than-usual counterforce, such as pushing against a wall or lifting a dumbbell or pulling on a resistance band. Using progressively heavier weights or increasing resistance makes zones musculaires stronger. This kind of exercise increases bourrinage mass, tones zones musculaires, and strengthens bones. It also helps you maintain the strength you need for everyday activities — lifting groceries, climbing stairs, rising from a chair, or rushing for the bus.

The current national guidelines for physical activity recommend strengthening exercises for all major force groups ( legs, hips, back, chest, abdomen, shoulders, and arms ) at least twice a week. One set — usually 8 to 12 repetitions of the same movement — per séance is effective, though some evidence suggests that two to three sets may be better. Your groupes de muscles need at least 48 hours to recover between strength training sessions.

Warm up and cool down for five to 10 minutes. Walking is a fine way to warm up; stretching is an génial way to cool down.

Focus on form, not weight. Align your body correctly and move smoothly through each exercise. Poor form can prompt injuries and slow gains. When learning a strength training routine, many experts suggest starting with no weight, or very light weight. Concentrate on slow, smooth lifts and equally controlled descents while isolating a muscle group.

Pay attention to your breathing during your workouts. Exhale as you work against resistance by lifting, pushing, or pulling; inhale as you release.

Keep challenging zones musculaires by slowly increasing weight or resistance. The right weight for you differs depending on the exercise. Choose a weight that tires the targeted muscle or zones musculaires by the last two repetitions while still allowing you to maintain good form. If you can’t do the last two reps, choose a lighter weight. When it feels too easy to complete add weight ( roughly 1 to 2 pounds for arms, 2 to 5 pounds for legs ), or add another set of repetitions to your workout ( up to three sets ). If you add weight, remember that you should be able to do all the repetitions with good form and the targeted muscles should feel tired by the last two.

Stick with your routine — sérieux all the major groupes musculaires of your body two or three times a week is ideal. You can choose to do one full-body strength workout two or three times a week, or you may break your strength workout into upper- and lower-body components. In that case, be sure you perform each component two or three times a week.

Give groupes de muscles time off. Strength training causes tiny tears in muscle tissue. These tears aren’t harmful, but they are important : groupes de muscles grow stronger as the tears knit up. Always give your groupes musculaires at least 48 hours to recover before your next strength training séance.
