Would you believe I received a text from TWO of my children last week, demanding to know where the last “Sentence A Day” message was!

Hmmm sorry kids, I only run a blog post about once a week these days, this little thing called WORK bothers me… 😉

Anyway I hope it's worth the wait!

November 1st - Forget lazy Sundays, instead we had the most epic adventure in our own backyard - skirmish / paintball with blaster guns. Fun for the whole family! We wore old white shirts thinking they would end up getting splattered with paint but the colors didn't really work.

Nov 2 - I couldn't help but notice that there were butterflies everywhere on my morning walk!

November 3 - An early night - must have been exhausted as we were both sound asleep at 8:30 p.m. (This doesn't happen often because we are both night owls, although we try to go to bed at a reasonable time like 10:30 am at the latest.)

Nov 4th - Finally got the haircut I desperately needed and felt like a new woman! In the evening, I started a puzzle.

November 5 - Husband had to go to work for the day, it was so weird working alone. Still no word on when his workplace will return to the office for good.

November 6 - Miss Fleur found herself a comfortable place to take a nap - on a clean basket of laundry… grrr.

November 7 - Afternoon tea at Mount Coot-tha Botanical Gardens with my father and mother-in-law, followed by a walk in the Japanese garden.

November 8 - The kids visited and Miss 23 baked some scones which we tasted with jam and cream for afternoon tea. And I finished my puzzle!

November 9 - Morning tea scones left over name name name.

November 10 - A busy working day interspersed with sessions with my personal trainer and business coach, and we sold our ping pong table on the Facebook market (it was great fun last summer but over the last few months, we thought it was time for another family to appreciate it).

Nov 11 - My pecs are a bit sore after lifting weights in my PT session yesterday! It sounds so awesome but don't get too excited they only weigh 2kg 😉.

November 12 - Our morning business think tank was called “Improve Your Sales” and I got so many great ideas. Now just to put them into practice!

Nov 13 - Husband joined me on my morning walk and we met this cute duck. For work, it was a day of content writing. In the evening Mr. 26 visited and we watched "Nerve" on Netflix together.

November 14 - Miss 23 and her fiancé invited us to dinner.

November 15 - I went to the stores to buy birthday presents for our daughter, as she will be 24 later this week!

Nov 16 - Spotted this rather alarming group of caterpillars on my morning walk - ugh. A bit fascinating but also a bit tricky. (I have since been told that these are lawn larvae caterpillars!)

November 17th - Family celebration for the 24th birthday of a certain young lady - with a round of putt at the Victoria Park Golf Club (we arrived a bit late because our GPS got us lost!). Mr. 26 was very excited to be the winner, as I came last… LOL.

Nov 18 - My husband and I both attended a Chamber of Commerce business breakfast at the Redlands Research Center. It was fascinating to learn about the projects underway there, from hydroponics to renewable energies.

November 19 - Coffee meeting with a client.

November 20 - What a huge day! In the morning I attended a business workshop, followed by lunch with the same group at the Lighthouse restaurant - except I had to run away before the dish was even served, to get ready for the afternoon tea function for the Women in Business Awards ceremony. I came home very proud to have been named a finalist (you can check out my blog post on the awards here.)

November 21 - Unsurprisingly, I was very tired! We spent a lazy Saturday relaxing with the TV and sleeping on the sofa.

November 22 - A great day of shopping with Miss 24 which included a pit stop for coffee and macaroons!

November 23 - Husband and I decorated our Christmas tree! Isn't that purty ?!

November 24 - Sushi date for dinner.

November 25 - I was sitting on our deck at night when I saw a bright light in the east… no, it wasn't the Christmas star, it was a plane crossing the bay! Gosh, I haven't seen this show for many months. Another sign that things are returning to almost "normal" here in Australia.

November 26 - Business mastermind group.

November 27 - Snatched! We've been selling some stuff on Gumtree lately. Husbear had advertised wheels / tires and was asked if he would accept a significantly lower price than he was asking. He said no. But the guy came back after a few days and said he wanted them so he came to pick them up today - but only handed over the ridiculous price he offered? !!!! We were like "WHAT ?!" and told him, but what can you do - he had already loaded one of the tires in his car and once they know where you live you don't want to make too much noise. Needless to say, this prompted us to sell anything ...

November 28 - I vacuumed today and it didn't hurt! I developed shoulder bursitis in 2013 and since then every time I vacuum I have been in agony that night. I thank my wonderful PT Sally who has helped me become much stronger and more flexible! In the evening my husband and I went for a walk and stopped at Zaraffa's ...

Nov 29th - Miss 24 and her fiance visited and we played pool. Did I mention that we had a good pool table recently?

November 30 - At the end of the month, I was busy preparing monthly reports for my regular clients. Always a busy day!

And so ends the month of November, now it's full steam ahead until Christmas. It's been a huge year in many ways and I have to admit I can't wait to take 3 weeks off from December 24 🙂 even though we're not going anywhere.

What are your plans for the Christmas holidays?
