It's safe to say that, like many other industries, the land-based casino industry has been hit this year, thanks to the Covid pandemic.

With billions invested in ensuring that these high profile visitors get the time of their lives on their casino trips, it's clear that many have felt the pinch without their regular visitors. The market is huge and the competition is so fierce with new establishments popping up everywhere to offer something seemingly more luxurious and exclusive than its neighbor. Rebranding and rebuilding are common practice and countries like Japan and Russia are finding their way onto the luxury casino scene to rival the likes of Macau and Las Vegas, it's obvious that while the industry is struggling, casinos are here to stay.

But with the aforementioned closures due to Covid, the online casino industry has seen a positive boom, with those looking for their roulette and slots solution heading online instead. And with the range of online casinos offering luxury casino games from your home or mobile device, it seems those needs have been more than met, with private account managers, trips to Vegas up for grabs (if possible), and even champagne and snacks by mail being provided as well.

It's clear that loyal customers are well rewarded and that, of course, also goes for those glitzy land-based casinos. If you can't wait to start planning your next big trip to this complete casino resort, we've picked five of our favorite picks to inspire you for the fun of 2021.

The Venetian, Macau

Macau is one of the few regions in China where gambling is permitted and given the size of the population, it is no wonder that the region has become the most important gambling hotspot in the world.

The Venetian has a sister site in Las Vegas, but has managed to eclipse the original, this version being the largest hotel / casino resort in all of Asia, making it a record site. Size isn't everything, however, as the Venetian manages to deliver plenty of luxurious experiences to its guests within its 10 million square feet of space.

Those looking to have the experience of a lifetime will opt for the Venetian's Superior Suite, which offers guests access to four bedrooms, a cinema room, and even massage rooms. It really is an amazing place to stay.

The Borgata, Atlantic City

Built in 2003, the Borgata managed to forge an excellent reputation in the years that followed. Located facing the sea, it offers some of the most incredible views of any casino in the world, but the views aren't the only thing that denotes luxury here. The Borgata has much more to offer with nearly 3,000 suites available for visitors offering full length windows to enjoy fantastic sea views as well as high levels of luxury and facilities to enjoy.

The casino leads the way, with nearly 4,500 games available to players, including over 4,000 video slots. It also takes up a lot of space, so anyone who visits will spend a lot of time exploring the casino and hopefully end up with a win or two under their belt when they go.

Atlantis Resort, Bahamas

Let's be honest here, almost every Bahamas-based casino should be on this list. It is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and for any visitor, just being there feels like living a life of luxury. Having said that, the Atlantis Resort actually manages to increase the luxury factor with the high quality of the services offered.

It has one of the most expensive suites in the world, although the real price is a well-kept secret these days. For the large layout, you'll get unprecedented levels of luxury such as your own grand piano, a golden chandelier, and there will even be staff present to cater to your every whim.

If you want to experience true luxury, then booking a suite at Atlantis is the best way to do it. Of course, if the suite is a bit too rich for your bank balance, the other rooms are still fantastic - perhaps not as majestic as the top-level suite, but still a stay you probably won't hastily forget. .

The Bellagio, Las Vegas

The vision of the fountains dancing at the light show at the Bellagio is one of the most iconic stages in the world, however, this amazing sight is not the only thing the hotel has going for it as it also happens to be one of the most luxurious in the world.

Despite that, it's actually more affordable than some of the other high-quality casinos on this list, but it's still one of the best places to stay on the Las Vegas Strip. The rooms all have the best amenities, there is an incredible casino to visit downstairs and you have a front row seat to see the light show from your room. What more could you wish for in the glitz and glamor of Vegas?

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

Marina Bay Sands It's definitely the most impressive compared to other casinos around the world, in fact, it looks so futuristic that it wouldn't be out of place in a Star Trek movie or TV series. The first aspect that will catch your eye is the rooftop infinity pool - it's the largest in the world and it is certainly extremely impressive. It follows by having a Michelin starred restaurant on site, and if that wasn't enough already, the suites and casino are also very impressive.

There are over 2000 guest rooms available with the top level suites, each providing guests with access to the best living experience. While not inexpensive, they will also provide customers with the opportunity to experience the best of luxury while taking in the awe-inspiring Singapore skyline. Marina Bay Sands definitely takes luxury into the future and is one of the most impressive casino resorts in the world.

The best time to visit Italy are the months of May, June, and September. Compared to the peak summer months of July and August, these months offer more comfortable temperatures and there are fewer crowds ( except around Easter ). The country experiences four classic seasons per year, although there is a marked difference between the wetter, cooler North and the drier, warmer South. The rainiest months pretty much everywhere are usually October and November.

Fall ( September – November ) : temperatures cool down gradually, although September is usually still very pleasant. Expect crisp fall leaves and some sunnier days, but plan for wet weather too. Fall carries many of the same benefits as spring, but with slightly less predictable weather.

Winter : temperatures in the South remain mild in winter, while Northern Italy is normally wet and cold. Winter in the Italian Alps is fantastic though for skiing and snowboarding, but the ski resorts do get crowded so book early.

Travelers wishing to visit Italy can use a bus, train, plane, or boat to get there. Most tourists arrive by plane though, often landing in Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, the country’s busiest airport. This is the preferred point of entry in Italy when you want to visit Rome, or tour the entire country. Click here for a continuously updated list of airlines that offer direct flights to Rome.

Although Rome is the main getaway for most visitors to Italy, it’s often easier and cheaper to fly directly to/from one of the country’s other airports. It can also save you a lot of time to book a multi-city ticket, hereby arriving in one airport and leaving from another ( for example fly in Milan in the north and fly out via Naples in the south ). The following airports are of interest for most tourist itineraries :

Milan Malpenza Airport ( north ) is the largest international airport in the Milan metropolitan area in northern Italy ( and also the main getaway to the Italian Lakes ). Click here for a continuously updated list of airlines that offer direct flights to Milan.

Venice Marco Polo airport ( north ) is the international airport of Venice. It offers flights to many European metropolitan areas as well as some partly seasonal long-haul routes to the United States, Canada, South Korea and the Middle East.
