To coincide with Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month, we’ve teamed up with adidas Originals to launch the special “Lost Ones” edition of Trimm Star. Designed by Mark Evans, who won last year’s Fantastic Coaching Competition, the colors are inspired by the thyroid cancer ribbon.
Paying tribute to his wife, who was sadly diagnosed with thyroid cancer 4 years ago, Mark designed the trainer to honor her journey and raise awareness of this disease which can often go unchecked. According to Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust, each year around 2,700 people in the UK are diagnosed with thyroid cancer. By working with Mark and adidas, we hope to raise awareness, provide a broader understanding, and educate clients about the disease.
Inspired by the charity’s ribbon, the Mark’s Trimm Stars opt for soft-touch purple uppers, complemented by the 3 jagged aqua stripes and a pink velvet heel tab. The low profile tongue remains logo-less, while gold Trimm Star branding adorns the side walls.
Along with the trainer’s release, and to help support patients and families living with thyroid cancer, we are donating £ 15,000 to the Buttery Thyroid Cancer Trust. To those looking for it, the Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust can offer information, support and advice during these times of isolation and dread.
In honor of Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month, the exclusive trainer will be available online and in all sizes? stores from Friday 24e September. You can find out more about the Butterfly Trust and the important work they do at the link below, where you can also donate. Thank you.
