TIPS OF THE DAY
Why isn’t Sevyn Banks playing for Ohio State against Minnesota?
Dallas Cowboys rookie defensive lineman Osa Odighizuwa said Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was not too mobile.
The Dallas Cowboys are looking forward to the 2021 season, considering how they missed the playoffs last year. But, they’re not in an enviable position, as they face reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the season opener. The last thing the Cowboys need to do is give the quarterback and seven-time Lombardi Trophy holder Tom Brady bulletin board material.
Cowboys rookie defensive lineman Osa Odighizuwa was questioned by media on Thursday about Brady’s weakness. Odighizuwa responded by saying that Brady is not too mobile.
Dallas Cowboys rookie says Tom Brady isn’t too mobile
To be fair, Odighizuwa had the evidence to back up his claim. He said that once Brady “gets off the field, his passer rating goes down a lot,” hence his belief that the defensive tackle game is going to be important for the big game of Week 1. Odighizuwa a later stated that he thought Brady “isn’t too worried about this [he’s] saying.”
Brady not being mobile is far from a shocking revelation. As for the Buccaneers quarterback, not caring what Odighizuwa says is another story. Brady is known to use quotes from members of the media and gamers to motivate him. Just look this video he posted on social networks after the Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 55.
The Buccaneers have shown they are determined to come back this season as they brought their entire squad back in the offseason. Their first step in the rehearsal is in week 1, and they will be looking to make a “Team America” example.
Either way, Odighizuwa and the Cowboys seem to have a plan to fight Brady.
